HOWEVER, without the free workbook package as stated in the book, it just doesn't make sense. I need to work with the tool, as I read the book to gain a full understanding of tableau and its capabilities.

It seems that someone has stolen a Dreamcatcher used by The Devil to keep his horrifying dreams from destroying the world. It also seems that the thief is Medusa's stepfather, an abusive monster who has escaped from the worst pit of Hell. Tasked with catching him, Medusa and her friends team up with a group of angels, including Joan of Arc, who pursue the same prey. The two teams have some difficulty getting along, but when they learn just how high the stakes really are, they find ways to work together. Sadly for them but happily for the book, the forces of evil literally seem always to be one step ahead. Hosie spools out her marvelous dark humor, making the first half of the book an utter joy to read, although the plot demands more focus on action later. Readers may well wonder why these eminently likable characters have been consigned to Hell, but apparently in some cases it is merely a bureaucratic error. More splendidly hellish fun. Donna Hosie is the author of The Devil's Intern, which was named a 2014 YALSA Best Fiction Book for Young Adults as well as a Kirkus Reviews Best Book of 2014 and earned starred reviews from Kirkus Reviews and School Library Journal. Donna is a full-time geek who fell into writing while working as a Warner Brothers' fan consultant on movie tie-in video games. Originally from England, she now lives in Australia with her husband, three children, and a crazy Golden Retriever named Harry (after a certain boy wizard).

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written paranormal book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great paranormal movie, animated cartoon, or mini TV series. Not my normal read but I liked it. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.

I will listen for a voice in the wilderness.

I love the writers ability to make you feel as if you were actually there. This is a wholesome book for teen as well as adults. The problems the characters have are timeless and very intense emotion. I would recommended this book to any one.

Negarli aprioristicamente, ciecamente, per puro spirito di negazione o, peggio, per quella sorta di ignoranza ringhiosa che non vuole essere istruita, varrebbe negare, solo perché non ce ne siamo fatta una visione personale, le onde elettriche e la radio,

Questo assurdo ha avuto, specie nel secolo passato, i suoi banditori ed i suoi profeti. Negatori per ragionamento, escludevano dal campo della loro indagine tutto ciò che non cadesse sotto il diretto controllo dei sensi o, almeno, di quei « sensi potenziati » che sono gli strumenti inventati dall’uomo per allargare il campo della sua sensibilità. Costoro si chiamarono materialisti.

Secondo i concetti materialisti ogni cosa nell’Universo è Materia o Energia. Ogni cosa, perciò, cade sotto il controllo dei sensi e degli strumenti. Il Sole manda calore e luce, un oggetto abbandonato a se stesso dalla finestra del quinto piano cade, certi delicatissimi strumenti captano emissioni elettriche nelle altissime regioni dell’atmosfera; dunque il sole, la gravitazione, i raggi cosmici esistono.

Il materialista non va più in là. Uomini di pur grande valore scientifico, come il Lombroso del quale diremo più innanzi, idolatri del metodo sperimentale, limitarono l’Universo alle sole manifestazioni sensibili. Che non fossero percepibili certe particolari manifestazioni della Vita solo perché ci mancavano gli strumenti adatti a percepirli non contava. Ciò bastava ad escludere decisamente dal campo scientifico ed a relegare in quello della ciarlataneria alcune manifestazioni che trascendevano la capacità umana di comprendere e di controllare. Coloro che avevano messo sul frontone del Tempio elevato alla Scienza la condanna del dogma (si chiama in filosofia dogma ogni verità che si dà per ammessa e per provata) s’erano resi schiavi a loro volta di un altro dogma: a furia di spalancare gli occhi per cercare la verità avevano finito per non vedere la verità che respirava intorno a loro. Verità esoterica, oscura, incerta, non per suo difetto, ma per difetto dei mezzi dei quali gli uomini dispongono e che non sono adatti a rivelarla.

Questo volumetto non è e non vuole essere un trattato di Spiritismo, nel senso che si attribuisce comunemente a questa parola né può, nonché affermare una verità che appare ancora molto oscura per essere espressa, neppure formulare una ipotesi. Si limiterà piuttosto a registrare fatti: provati e probabili, esaminati con quella serenità di giudizio che gli uomini — quelli di Scienza e gli altri — non dovrebbero mai escludere, durante le loro ricerche, spesso difficili e penose, nel campo tutt’altro che seminato di rose che è la Conoscenza.
